Dan Gross, M.P.T. opened Palomar Airport Physical Therapy in October 1995 to provide high quality physical therapy to the growing area in the southern part of Carlsbad surrounding Palomar Airport. Dan received his Bachelor's Degree in Physical Education with an emphasis in Sports Medicine at Cal Poly University in Pomona. After receiving his Master's Degree in Physical Therapy from USC in 1990, he worked at Alvarado Hospital in San Diego as an inpatient therapist in the Cardiac and Intensive Care Units. He then moved to North County and worked at Tri-City Hospital as a Senior Outpatient Therapist. In 1993, he began working for PRN as the Director of the Encinitas Clinic and then opened his own office in Carlsbad where he has been practicing since. Dan finds inspiration from treating a variety of patients. It's not unusual to find an executive, a laborer and a young athlete on Dan's daily treatment schedule. "Everyone comes to us for different reasons. But they all have their individual problems and needs. Each person has a unique story and in respecting that individuality, I hope that I can help them and teach them something."
When Dan's not working, he likes to swim, bike and run ("I participate in triathlon, I don't compete"). Mostly, though, he enjoys spending time with his wife Mary and two children Tony and Sarah. You can often find them boating out of the Oceanside Harbor. |
